Senior Research & Policy Analyst
Since joining The Education Trust-West in 2013, Leni has contributed to research and policy analysis in various areas including English learners, school finance, and the teacher pipeline. Leni’s work in education policy began as a bilingual classroom teacher in Phoenix, after which she taught elementary school in Minneapolis. While earning her Master of Public Affairs degree with a concentration in Education Policy at the University of Wisconsin’s La Follette School of Public Affairs, she worked as an Education Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. A Minnesota native, Leni received her B.A. in Government and Hispanic Studies from Connecticut College.
