Research & Data Analyst
Carolina supports The Education Trust—West’s qualitative research. Her work focuses on the undergraduate experiences of marginalized students and is grounded in the belief that college students’ voices should inform university policy and practice. Prior to joining ETW, Carolina supported qualitative and quantitative research at the California Education Lab and Graduate Studies at the University of California, Davis. Previous to that, Carolina was a community organizer in New York City. Carolina earned a B.A. in Political Economies of Industrialized Societies from the University of California, Berkeley, a M.A. in Educational Leadership: Advocacy and Policy from New York University, and is a Ph.D candidate at the University of California, Davis (expected Spring 2019). Originally from the California Central Valley, her first-hand experiences with educational inequities sustain her professional and personal goals of promoting equity.
